I purchased this gown in the vintage rose color. When it arrived it was a definite shade of purple-not pink AT ALL - like a silvery plum. I tried it on anyway and was pleased to discover it wasn't made for a flat chested giant like SO MANY of the others I have tried on. It also ran a little bigger than so many of the others. I returned it because of the color but I found myself comparing every other dress to this one. The quality and the fit were so good. I ended up changing my mind about the color and re-ordering.This dress would have been pretty if they hadn’t put glitter on the lace. Why do so many manufacturers now put glitter on dresses? No where, in the description, did it say that it had glitter. The lace, plain, would have been just fine. The glitter didn’t fall off however. So if you like glitter, this dress is fine Another reason why I will be returning the dress is that it shows a bump in the back along the zipper. I think because they made the bodice too long in the back, or maybe this particular dress is defective. It was also pretty loose in the chest area, and I’m big on top. It has a self bra, which was also not mentioned in the description. Otherwise the size was as expected.Rose dress is very pretty. However, for me the size ran large busted. I liked how that lace covered modestly in the front and back. Well made and would be great for a wedding.I ordered the Embroidered Navy and Bright Plum dresses in size 14 with the hope of wearing one of them to my daughter's wedding. Both were pretty colors, and for the price, the fabric and lace were nice. The lace is a little stiff but acceptable. The plum dress has some sequins in the lace.I should have listened to the review above written on December 3, 2019. Even though I have a large chest, there were 2 unfilled points in the bust area in lace overlay. I'm not sure how anyone could have filled them given the lining didn't have the same shape. Also note that while the skirt overlay is flowing, the lining is straight cut so not nearly as roomy.The dress was fine. There was no glitter. The only issue I had with it was the waistline is shown as empire but on me it was right on the waistline, so didn't fit as expected, so deducted a star, but if you are taller, the dress would be great.Didn’t fit had to returnSo disappointed in this dress. Purchased for my daughter's wedding and thought it worked, but just tried it on again (wedding is this Sunday) and discovered that the material over bosom comes to a POINT and looks absolutely ridiculous. Did not notice when I tried it on the first time. Cannot wear and missed being able to return by 4 days, so flushing money down the drain. Borrowing an old dress from a friend, but even so looks better than this Alex dress.I liked another dress better.I bought three dresses for my son's wedding and asked him to choose. He chose this one and I received so many compliments - "the perfect dress", "the lace is beautiful", "so elegant", "gorgeous colour" (I bought the navy), etc. It was a July wedding and the weight was perfect. It was very comfortable. Lace is soft. Fully lined. I had it hemmed because I wore flat silver sandals.I recommend it ... and got it on a holiday sale.Bonus: it is hand washable in cold water.Well made dress. Fully lined. Embroidery lovely. . Fit was as I hoped.Bought this for a wedding. A very good price. Colour beautiful however not on me. I will return it, but won’t hesitate to buy from this seller again.I usually wear a 12. I bought the 14-16 and it is perfect. Dress arrives packaged in envelope so it’s creased. Takes no time to remedy that.This dress is stunning!!! I ordered the wrong size twice but third time was a charm! Fits beautifully and is very figure flattering.Beautiful dress but not sure I'll keep it. Still getting out wrinkles. Wedding not til spring. Am going to steam it when I get a chance, then decide. Hoping it will come out good.It was a beautiful dress
