Iconic Luxe Women's A-Line Midi Dress with Waist Tie - Elegant Flowy Summer Dress for Weddings, Parties & Office Wear

I needed a simple dress for an upcoming fall trip to London and Paris and this is going to work well.The rayon/spandex has a smooth buttery feel, nice drape, good weight, and is well constructed. Also, it's made right here in the USA. Yes, IF you hold the fabric up to the light, it appears thin, but when wearing it, nothing shows through. (I'm wearing a white bra and white half-slip under this dress) It will pack small and light and is easy to accessorize. As you can see, I tied the belt differently. I first wrapped it around to my back, then brought it around to the front and tied on the side. I think this is a more sophisticated look than a front bow AND the elastic in the back is then hidden. I'm 66 and a bit beyond wearing bows. Am also able to incorporate the tie into the lace shawl. This dress is a size small (I'm 5'4'' 108 lbs). Overall, I'm very happy with this dress and you can't beat the price!Last note: This is an independent review; no perks or incentives from the company.My daughter is willing to wear this dress because she finds it comfortable and pretty. She has major sensory issues related to clothing, seams, etc. Highly recommend.Fits and looks greatI love the fit and comfort of this dress! I like that it is simple and can be dressed up or down, with jewelry, sweater, or scarves. I love the attached belt that can be tied in the front or back. I've worn it to work and to church. It is comfortable for all day, and I got several compliments on it. The medium fit is great on me. I am 5'6 inches and weigh about 130 lbs. I was extremely pleased with how the dress washed. The care tag says hand wash and hang dry. I rarely hand wash, so I washed it in the machine on cold. I did mean to hang it dry, but accidentally threw in the dryer mixed up with other dark clothes. The dress came out just fine. It doesn't seem to have shrunk, and it also needs no ironing. I probably will hang it to dry in the future just to see how it does. The fabric is a good weight to me, not too thick or too thin. I can warm up by wearing thermal knit pants under the dress., socks, boots, and a sweater. In warmer weather, it would look nice with ballet flats. Thank you for a wonderful addition to my fall/ winter wardrobe!I liked everything about this dress. It was absolutely perfect in style, fit, color, comfort, length and thickness.Extremely easy to just throw on over your head. No zippers. No buttons. Super simple to put on and take off.Super stretchy and amazing comfort. Does not wrinkle easily because the thickness of the fabric and type of material allows it to keep it’s shape. No frills. I love the attached belt which flatters your shape. Simple dresses can be the most flattering.Not fancy, but practical and modest in style for work, school, Bible meetings, etc. all occasions.Since I am on the short and chubby side, the midi length goes almost to my ankles. Not too long and definitely not too short.You will not be disappointed with this dress. Congratulations Iconic Luxe for designing a perfect dress!The downside of this dress has been mentioned by another reviewer - you need some serious layering to cover up bra lines! I wore it with a full slip AND a half modesty shell underneath and I still had to put on a scarf to cover the lines. The material is just so soft that it shows every detail up top if you buy a light color. BUT, because the dress is so simple, a scarf to cover up bra lines actually is the perfect accessory to add a pop of pattern/color/texture to the outfit! Not really too bad of a downside.I’m still giving it five stars because it fits well, the material is absurdly soft, and it’s a great modesty fit (below the knees, above the collarbone, below the elbows!) I’m tall so modest dresses can be tricky on length, but this one does the job! I’m excited to buy it in black because the lines will be less of a problem.Also, as someone else said, it looks much better with the bow tied in back!I very comfy and soft! I love the neckline I didn’t hVe to wear a tank top or worry about anything showing. The length was perfect in me, I’m 5’10” and don’t wear anything about my knee, this came just below my knee at a perfect length. The fabric was kinda springy in a sense of making me want to twirl around all day haha!If you’re buying this dress because it’s modest, you’ll want to order a size larger than your normal size. I ordered an XL because it’s stretchy material (my measurements are 45-36-44), and while it fits me, there’s no room to spare and the top is tight and clingy on my chest. Also, while the dress is shown with the bow tied in the front, thankfully it can be worn at the back, because the ties are set higher than the waistband, and that looks ridiculous with a large chest. That all being said, the dress is soft and comfortable and has a very nice drape. I’ve gotten many compliments on it.
